THE MENTAL ASPECT OF AUTOIMMUNE ARTHRITIS AND HASHIMOTOS (A CASE STUDY)

THE MENTAL ASPECT OF AUTOIMMUNE ARTHRITIS AND HASHIMOTOS (A CASE STUDY)

I would describe myself as your typical go-getter. Always buzzing around from one thing to the next, whether it be my work as an elementary school teacher, taking a graduate class, getting my masters degree, working out hard in the gym, scrapbooking, meeting friends for dinner, whatever it was, I was doing it.

I remember one of the first symptoms I recognized as being abnormal at the age of about 27 or 28 was fatigue.

I didn’t know it was a symptom then, I thought I was just tired. I remember coming home from work and just wanting to lay on the couch and rest.  This was not like me. I was the type that spent a day at work and right to the gym, every day of the week, since college.

Well, this isn’t your regular blog post about stress and anxiety, where we politely ask it to go away with some morning meditation and mindfulness. Nope, today I’m teaching you how to bitch slap stress and anxiety so you can live the amazing, joyful life you’re always seeing on Instagram.

P.S. when you’re stressed or anxious, don’t go on Instagram. You’ll only get caught up in comparison and perfectionist mode.

4 KEY NUTRIENTS TO SUPPORT UNDERACTIVE THYROID SYMPTOMS + HYPOTHYROIDISM

4 KEY NUTRIENTS TO SUPPORT UNDERACTIVE THYROID SYMPTOMS + HYPOTHYROIDISM

Are you one of the 20+ million Americans who suffer from thyroid disease?

According to the American Thyroid Association (ATA) women are five to eight times more likely than men to have a thyroid condition and one in eight women will develop a thyroid disorder during her life. Another staggering statistic is that up to 60% of those who have thyroid disease are unaware of it. (This includes hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis or hyperthyroidism.)

I work with a lot of people who feel that they have exhausted all of their options in trying to figure out what is wrong with them and are not sure what to try next. They’ve often been passed around from doctor to doctor and have seen all the specialists, but they still don’t have answers. I know when I was trying to figure out my health issues, I thought no one would ever understand what I was going through. It turned out that I was just talking to the wrong people! It wasn’t until I found someone who was willing to look at the big picture rather than each individual piece of my story that I got what I needed.

How To Lose Weight With Hypothyroidism (When You've Already Tried Everything) Part 1

If you struggle with hypothyroidism, chances are you have struggled with your weight.

You may have gained weight, have trouble losing it, or just feel larger, puffier, and uncomfortable in your body. You likely also experience issues like low energy, lack of focus, and depressed mood, which are interfering with your healthy eating and exercise efforts. You may find that even when you do exercise, you lack stamina in your workouts and it takes you much longer to recover after exercise.
